Kodiak Island Wildlife
Spectacular Wildlife Viewing Opportunities!
t Larsen Bay Lodge you have access to one of the most spectacular wildlife viewing locations on earth! There is a tremendous variety of marine life and wildlife that you can expect to see. Some of the most cherished memories our clients take back home is the prolific wildlife. Even if you are just coming to fish, bring a pair of binoculars and a good camera with extra memory cards.

There are over 200 species of birds on Kodiak! Along the shoreline depending on the time of year, you will see a variety of waterfowl and seabirds, such as Bays, Harbor, Arctic, and Aleutian terns, Barrow's Goldeneye, scoters, and harlequin ducks. Along the beaches reside song sparrows, rock sandpipers, and turnstones. Rocky cliffs along the bays are home to black-legged kittiwakes, horned and tufted puffins, black oystercatchers, and common murres.
